Binance has said its Compliance Chief Tigran Gambaryan, who remains in the custody of Nigerian authorities, should not be held responsible as discussions with government officials continue. In February, Nigerian authorities detained Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, the exchange's regional manager for Africa, has since charged Binance and the two executives with tax evasion.
