This is the first bitcoin rewards halving in which value can be assigned to individual sats, which can now be traded like NFTs following last year's launch of the Ordinals protocol. The first sat to be mined after this month's halving could theoretically attain a value of $1 million or more on marketplaces for digital collectibles.
